CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR PLAN
The students will be expected to follow the classroom and school rules every day and bring homework back to school when it is due. Homework is due the day after it is assigned unless otherwise noted. When the rules are not followed, or homework is not completed, the students will be pulling cards. As they travel through the different classrooms, we will record the cards pulled. Each day the cards will be recorded. The card system will restart daily. At the end of each nine weeks, the number of cards each student has pulled will be recorded. The amount of time students can participate in the third grade reward activity will be determined by the number of cards pulled that quarter.
Below is the card breakdown:
Green: All students start on green at the beginning of the day.
Yellow: The yellow card means the student has not followed a
rule or has a missing assignment.
Red: The red card means the student has not followed a rule
two times or has two missing assignments.
Blue: The blue card means the student has not followed a
rule three times or has three missing assignments. This
will result in a demerit that will be sent home explaining
why the demerit was issued.
*We reserve the right to skip cards and move straight to demerits if the situation deems it necessary.
Positive Reinforcement
To reinforce good behavior in the school setting, we will be awarding marbles to our classes throughout the day. This is based on the behavior of the whole class. Good behavior is following all classroom and school rules. When a classroom reaches 50 marbles, a reward activity will be planned. This could be a classroom treat, extra recess, short movie, etc.
